King Kalmaar was the King of Merlopia and the ruler of the Endless Sea, Trimaar's son and Benthomaar's adoptive brother. He became king after killing his father. Due to his hatred for those who lived on land Kalmaar became obsessed with reawakening a sea serpent known as Wojira so he can use her powers to destroy the surface world.
